Sunbury’s Revitalization, Inc. Announces Two New Community Programs: Mom’s Coffee Break & Winter Movie Matinees
Sunbury, PA- Sunbury’s Revitalization, Inc. (SRI) is excited to announce the launch of two new community-focused programs beginning in 2026: Mom’s Coffee Break (Babies Welcome!) and Winter Movie Matinees. These initiatives are designed to foster connection, promote inclusion, and enhance quality of life for Sunbury residents of all ages.
Mom’s Coffee Break (Babies Welcome!)
Mom’s Coffee Break is a relaxed, supportive gathering for parents and caregivers with babies and young children. This welcoming, judgment-free space allows caregivers to connect with one another, enjoy meaningful conversation, and take a well-deserved break—without the need to find a babysitter. Babies and children up to preschool age are not only welcome, but celebrated.
Participants can enjoy coffee and fresh bakery treats from Sunbury CSG Bakery while building supportive community connections. The casual format is intentionally designed to fit real life with little ones and help reduce social isolation among parents and caregivers.
Dates: Wednesdays - March 4, April 1, & May 6, 2026
Time: 10:00 AM-12:00 PM
Location: Degenstein Community Library
Winter Movie Matinees
Winter Movie Matinees offer cozy, indoor film screenings during the colder months, providing an accessible and enjoyable activity for families, seniors, and movie lovers of all ages. Designed with Sunbury’s senior community in mind, these matinees create a warm, social environment to relax, connect, and enjoy classic films together.
Guests will enjoy complimentary soup, a sandwich, and beverages including coffee, tea, and water. This program aims to combat winter isolation, encourage social interaction, and bring neighbors together through shared entertainment.
Dates: February 3 & 17; March 3 & 17, 2026
Time: 1:00 PM-4:00 PM
Location: The Albright Center for the Arts
Quote from Jody Ocker, Executive Director of SRI: “We are so grateful to have AmeriCorps Member Meng with us this year.
