Raise the Region 2026 Now Live!
Sunbury’s Revitalization Inc. (SRI) is continuing its work to transform the former Albright United Methodist Church into the Albright Center for the Arts, a growing hub for creativity, performances, and community events.
This year, through Raise the Region, SRI is raising funds to purchase professional sound and lighting equipment for the center’s stage. Currently, every concert or performance requires rented production services, costing between $1,000 and $3,000 per show. Owning this equipment would save $10,000 to $30,000 each year, allowing SRI to host more performances while keeping ticket prices affordable for the community.
The equipment will also support the Tuesday Night Music Club, where local musicians gather twice a month to build their skills not only as performers, but also as entrepreneurs, promoters, and event producers. Participants will gain hands-on experience using professional sound and lighting equipment while helping power performances at the Albright Center.
Since receiving the historic building in 2014, SRI has invested more than $2 million into renovations, gradually transforming the space into a community arts and cultural center. The lower-level banquet hall now includes a commercial kitchen and small stage, making it ideal for weddings, receptions, corporate meetings, and community gatherings. It also serves as home to the Tuesday Night Music Club and monthly swing dances that bring people of all ages together through music and movement.
The main auditorium has also proven to be a powerful performance space. The venue has successfully hosted concerts and live performances last spring, with additional spring and fall concert series planned.
SRI hopes to raise $12,000 during Raise the Region. Your support will help bring professional production capabilities to the Albright Center while strengthening arts programming, supporting musicians, and expanding opportunities for the community.
